Last week welcomed Lucy from Pavers Atherstone, who through the Pavers foundation donated £500 to The Mayor’s Cafe and Bedworth Community Gardens.
This generous donation means a lot to us and showcases community spirit. As a not for profit charity this donation helps our site in providing valuable services and green spaces in our local community.
Lucy had the following to say:
“ With our store being based inside Dobbies in Atherstone, we have a foundation where staff can apply for grants for their chosen charity. I applied for a £500 donation to the Mayor’s cafe and community gardens as I love the work they do and what they stand for”.
Sheona Russell, Garden project manager said the following:
“This donation is fantastic for us at the site. Over the last few years a lot of hard work has gone into improving the site and contributions like this only help to drive us forward. I managed to show Lucy around the site in full, and like many visitors they are shocked to see how big the site really is and the amount of produce in the summer months which makes up the meals within the Café”
