People in Action is a registered charity that was established in 1985 and has grown steadily since. We now support over 200 people to live meaningful lives within their community. We provide residential and domiciliary care, and supported living, offering person centred support to enable people to live at home within their community and are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our History
Our story began in 1985 with small offices based in Nuneaton and then Bedworth, with only 9 employees. Since then, we have expanded working alongside numerous local authorities and now employing over 350 staff members.
In 2012, we launched an ambitious community project with a goal to build a cafe within Bedworth Community Gardens. In 2013/14, The Mayor Councillor Bob Copland officially launched his appeal to raise funds towards the project and The Mayor’s Cafe was officially opened in May 2014.
We are celebrating
40 year Anniversary of People in Action
This year, 2025, marks 40 years since People in Action was first established. Over the past four decades, we’ve grown from a small local charity into an organisation that now supports over 200 people across Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Throughout this time, our focus has remained the same: providing tailor-made support and person-centred care that reflects the needs and choices of each individual. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built and the progress we’ve made together.
To mark this milestone, we’ll be celebrating with our staff and the people we support, taking time to reflect on our journey and look ahead to the future!
