It was a pleasure for the Mayor’s Cafe to host Artichoke for two events in the build up to the Sanctuary event which took place in the Miners’ Welfare Park on the 28th May 2022.
Wednesday 25th May saw Helen Marriage, Director of Artichoke and David Best, the Artist behind Sanctuary joined take part in speaking about the monument and the experiences which brought about their ideas.
It was a great experience to assist in some way for this unique event, as the Mayor’s Cafe were supplying meals to the crew working on the build in the build up to the project.
